The world's largest floating wind turbine independently developed by my country was successfully launched in Sheyang, Jiangsu.
It is reported that the power level of this wind turbine reaches 20 megawatts, which is the world's largest floating wind turbine. The diameter of the wind rotor reaches 260 meters, and the wind sweeping area is 53,100 square meters, which is equivalent to 7 standard football fields. The annual output of clean electricity of a single machine can reach 62 million degrees, which can meet the annual electricity demand of about 37,000 households, which is equivalent to saving 25,000 tons of coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 62,000 tons. The design of semi-submersible floating platform plus mooring system technology can expand the territory of wind power generation to a wider deep blue sea. It is reported that the wind turbine is also embedded with a variety of intelligent control, intelligent sensing and other technologies, which can realize real-time monitoring and more stable operation. So far, CRRC has developed more than 80 wind turbine models, covering different power levels such as 1.5-12 megawatts on land and 8-20 megawatts at sea, and has installed more than 13,000 units in more than 260 wind farms around the world.
